There’s nothing quite like having the knowledge of someone who’s been working with WordPress day in and day out for several years to call upon when you have a question. So if you’re looking for the best method for organizing your content, or wanting to know which plugin will best serve your specific needs, then my expertise is nothing more than an email away.
Updates are the key to keeping your site secure. Updates close loopholes and security flaws that have been uncovered, and making sure that they get installed regularly is critical to making sure that you aren’t leaving vulnerabilities available to be exploited. You also get the added bonus of cool new features.
I recommend updates at least once a week, and more often if your site is a bit more critical.
I work with you to set up backups on your site on a schedule of your choosing. I make sure that you’ve always got a recent backup of both your database and your whole site so that whether you make a small editorial mistake and want to restore your database, or your site gets hacked, you’ve always got an appropriate backup to revert to.
Your backups are first made locally (on your server), and then sent off-site to a secure storage. Then the local backup is deleted, to stop your server from getting overloaded with backup files. If needed, access to your backup folder can be provided.
And if you ever need to restore from a backup, I’ll work with you and your host to restore it free of charge.
While it’s usually safe to update WordPress, your themes and plugins, sometimes conflicts arise. The Small Fixes option is designed to take care of these issues when they happen as well as help with small tasks on your site, such as if you want a sidebar change made or a new plugin or form installed. Generally, any task which takes less than about 15 minutes would be covered.
Small fix time does not roll-over monthly. If we cannot solve the problem in the given amount of time, we will contact you with recommendations.
And emailed monthly report tracking pre-agreed upon metrics from your Google Analytics, Moz scores, and social media. The power is in the numbers and knowing where you stand each month gives you tremendous insight on where you’re going.
If you don’t visit your site that often, or you just don’t know what to look for, it can be helpful to have a knowledgeable expert looking over both the front-end of your site and the back-end, proactively looking for issues and ways to improve your site.
If you’d find the regular review of an expert pair of eyes useful, then you might consider adding Site Reviews to your maintenance plan, as a proactive way of keeping your site in tip-top shape.
