Social Media Marketing for Launches

Social media marketing for launches may seem like a massive thing to do. In reality, it can attract ideal clients organically and is always important for brand awareness. However, it doesn't have to be something that overwhelms you. I sat down with Rachel Miller recently, and she shared how she easily uses social media marketing to launch her quilting courses.
Are you getting ready to launch a course or product? You probably want to get the most visibility without adding more work to your already very full plate. That is exactly what we are looking at today. Keep reading to learn how you can incorporate multiple platforms into your launch easily, simply, and effectively.

How do you start a social media launch?

Rachel keeps all the social content in alignment with the next thing that she's going to be offering. So, she's sort of warming them up to what is coming at every step of the way. Then, when that offer ends she starts warming them up for the next one. So, there's this cycle now of a yearly strategy and everyone knows what's coming and what needs to be put out to be ready for when those doors open. Let's take a small glimpse into how Rachel easily integrates her promotions into social media.

Welcome, Rachel!

What should I post on social media before launching?

So, I only launch my quilting membership twice per year, that way I'm not having to be on all the time. Do you know? I try to tie everything that I do on social media into what I'm launching that month. So for the Farm Girl Vintage launch, there are things that go with that so I post about the fabric or the tools that you're going to need for that. I do a Facebook live consistently at least once a week.

So we talk about your favorite quilting tool or this technique or whatever, to kind of help guide them and give them a freebie so that they feel like, oh, I can do this. Then they're a little bit more inspired to want to join us in the class.

How do I start social media marketing?

There are many techniques that I use on social media but, I think that live video right now is the best thing. It seems like whenever I'm doing a Facebook Live, I get more sales and more interaction with things than I do with just normal social media posts or even emails. It's definitely the live video and then I'll share that same live video on my YouTube channels so it kind of hits it both ways that I'm only having to do at once.

This makes launching easier and also helps with deciding what to post. I always have a plan because my posts are based on what is coming out or launching next!
