Characteristics of a Good Leader, Part 1

I am a firm believer in the power of continuing education. It may be cliche, that

Leaders are Readers

but there is always truth to cliches, which is exactly why the become such popular sentiments.

When a person stops learning they stop growing, and stunted or halted growth is unhealthy, sometimes even dangerous. One characteristic of a good leader, the leader I want to be, is that they read, alot.

For the last couple of years I've posted a reading list for the year, but I've noticed that the plan often changes as the days pass. This quarter was no exception and so I'd like to update you on the professional literature I've been reading in the last 3 months.

Many of these are ones that have been highlighted by 99 Cent Blogging Books, a free email service that will notify you weekly of the best-selling business and blogging books. And of course, if any of these titles appeal to you, feel free to click the affiliate link titles and check them out.

Leaders are also Teachers

Just as reading, learning and growing is healthy, it is also healthy to give out what you take in. One of the best proofs of learning is the ability to teach what you've learned to another. Here at Como Blog, we regularly produce blog posts to teach you the things we've learned. You can see a whole list of those HERE.

And here are the books we've produced in the last quarter:

  • The Blogger's Guide to Seasonal Marketing
  • The Blogger's Guide to Getting Started
  • The Blogger's Guide to Guest Posting

We also have a bookstore full of resources and will soon be revealing a membership program that will not only provide the tools, but the networking and support community necessary to successful online business. Sign up for our newsletter and you'll be the first to know when that membership becomes available!
